As a fun race the event will be governed by the Collision Regulations and not the International Rules for Yachting. The race will commence from the fenced area in front of the club. Once aboard they will paddle out to their waiting yacht at the end, but to the north of the ManlyHarbour entrance beacons, (approx 1 nm). From there the crew will sail to the “Big Sandhills”, one crew member will then row ashore and run to the top of the sandhills where they will receive a token as evidence of their arrival. From the top of the sandhills the competitors will run, slide and stumble their way back to their rowing craft and paddle back to their sailing vessel. Once safely aboard the crew will set sail for the finish line to the north east of the outer beacons of the Manly Harbour lead beacons.
